F300

Is loudspeaker preference objective? It is, when you compare one speaker with another. But when you compare reproduced music with live acoustic performance, the preference should be very subjective as a singer has only one voice, etc. When listening to music, try to visualize the size of the signer’s mouth. Does the string or air vibrate? Does sound initiate from a spot or from a large area? Then the coloration: does the string sound like metal or plastic? …. When such criteria are applied, you will find that the F300 needs only one word to describe it: LIFELIKE – literally. A main contributor to such lifelike sound is a large air motion transformer, which is in a class of its own (please check Wikipedia for more details), producing sound down to 1300 Hz. But challenges also lie in integrating the mid and woofer seamlessly with the super fast air motion tweeter. The F300 does a fantastic job in this regard with sandwiched carbon fiber diaphragms and copper shorting rings, etc. Carbon fiber is used because of its lightness and rigidity (made by DuPont). The copper shorting ring prevents the voice coil from moving out of the magnetic field resulting in fast response and tight bass. The F300 enclosure uses our proprietary structure (patents pending) to completely rid of the box sound without deadening the music. Better yet, the F300 is only 158 lbs each in two pieces and can generally be handled by one person. The top unit can also be used as a center as well as surround speakers.

Note:
The F300 is designed so that its top unit can be used separately as a perfectly matched center channel with a frequency response ranging from 40Hz to 40kHz.
